Aug 30- Introduction to Course, materials and Project 1: Self Portrait/Due Sept 20.
Sept 1- Overview the History of Printmaking / DEMO: Transferring an image, tools, cutting. Drawings due Sept. 8th.
WK 2/
Sept 6- Labor Day / No Classes
Sept 8- Drawings due/Start cutting
WK 3/
Sept 13-Discussion on Papers, curating prints & cutting session. (Have paper torn down and block cut by Wednesday)
Sept 15- DEMO: Printing/registration followed by in-class printing of your first project.
WK 4/
Sept 20-Project 1: Self Portraits due/Critique. Visiting Artist Tim Musso at MAM Oct 1 (6 pm gallery talk).
Sept 22- Introduction to Artists Books (History & Overview PPT), Introduction to Project 3: Altered and Bound /Due: Oct 18.
Discussion on materials, handout bookbinding kits. Introduce On-going Project 2. Demo on Fold books. Do reading "Exploring the Visual Book".
WK 5/
Sept 27- PPT: Altered Books. DEMO: Altering text/images. DEMO: Concertinas/Stab bindings and rebinding methods.
Sept 29-DEMO: Pamphlet & Long stitch & handouts, discussion on signatures.
Oct 1- Tim Musso at MAM, opening 5-7, gallery talk 6 pm.

Oct 6- Tim Musso Visiting Artist & work session Long stitch & Project 3.

Oct 11- Introduce Project 4: Narrative /Due: Nov. 10. Readings: Time/Design & Narrative. In class review of Project 3 (must have a few pages completed)
