Visiting Artist Talk on YOUR Work / ​


PART 1 - Due: Nov. 7
You will also make a poster to advertise your lecture. (There are many samples up in the printmaking studio you can browse if you like.  Poster size should be 11"x17" either vertical or horizontal formats are accepted.

Include Full information:
Your Name
Title of Lecture (this is optional)
Date & Time
Location: University of Montana / Fine Arts Building / Rm 302

This can be emailed to me as a pdf or jpeg.
It will also be included as the final image in your presentation.
PART 2- Artist Talk (Nov 19-Dec 5)
This will be a 10-15 minute presentation on your work, followed by a Q&A session.

Prepare a lecture on your artistic practice, as though you have been invited and getting paid to present to a museum or university as a visiting artist.  This is your target audience.

The presentation MUST include the following: You will be deducted points for each parameter you miss:
Required Parameters:
1- PowerPoint Presentation or PDF presentation. 

2- Label the file in the following manner: Your name. (for example: Kara Walker_Artist Talk)
3- Title slide with your name. (Lecture title optional)
4- Minimum of 20 HIGH quality images (DO NOT JUST PULL UP A WEBSITE)
5- Emailed or downloaded on my laptop, week PRIOR to presentations (-10 points for lateness).  DO NOT SHOW UP TO CLASS AND PULL UP GOOGLE DOCS, OR DOWNLOAD YOUR PRESENTATION FROM EMAIL OR YOUR WEBSITE.

NO LATE ASSIGNMENTS ACCEPTED.   Remember, if you are unprepared in real life, you will have a room full of angry people.
