Block Party T-Shirt Project

For this project, you can choose to do any type of image you want to print on a T-shirt, tote bag etc.

We will be printing these together in class.  I would encourage you to bring extra items to print on, so you can also print other artists work on your own stuff.  (It's sort of like a informal print portfolio).

On the day of printing, bring your cut block and T-shirts, tea towels, tote bags or whatever you'd like to print on.
Bring extra items, in case you want to print other students work on your T-shirts etc.

Cotton works great to print on.  I would recommend staying away from 100% synthetic materials, as well as very coarse materials like canvas, corduroy etc.  Likewise, you don't want to print over seams or across pockets.

Project parameters:
  • Open theme
  • Cut image on block of MDF (I will provide you with a block of MDF (Medium Density Fiberboard).
  • Block MUST be cut by the scheduled day of printing at the beginning of class.  We will be PRINTING IN CLASS TOGETHER.  Bring in as many shirts/tote bags as you want to print on.
