MIXED TECHNIQUES /

For this project you will be working with a minimum of two different plates printed together. 1 Drypoint plate and 1 Collagraph plate.

Project Parameters:
Minimum plate size 8"x10"
Minimum paper size 11"x14"
​Edition of 8 prints. (Edition may be variable)


Here are a few other techniques:  

Discuss registration techniques, paper shrinkage etc.


COLOR VARIATIONS / PROCESSES:
  1. Multi-plate using 2 or more drypoint plates registered together - (transfer design to other plates)​
  2. Multi-plate (Print key image in dark color-lay very transparent colors over top using plexi)-ala Jenny Robinson. 
  3. Print BG colors registered to key first with Key over top>(ala marwin Begaye or lay second plate on top of drypoint plate, roll with transparent color and use reductive/additive techniques seeing through to the underlying plate. ​
  4. John Armstrong Collage technique​
  5. CMYK process colors (4 plates)
  6. Multi-plate (Print key image in dark color-lay very transparent colors over top using plexi)-ala Jenny Robinson. 
  7. Print BG colors registered to key first with Key over top>(ala marwin Begaye or lay second plate on top of drypoint plate, roll with transparent color and use reductive/additive techniques seeing through to the underlying plate. ​

Registration: Then print together using tape of weight to hold paper in place. (Print back to back)
