Class Portfolio Book / Final Project
Theme: MAPPING
You will do a relief print based on your concept for the above theme.
Submit written proposal and 2 sketches in advance of beginning project. Blocks must be cut by Monday, Nov. 2nd for in class printing session.
I will have a couple of days set aside to work with you in class helping you print your editions.

Project parameters:
- Relief Print- Block size: 8" x 8".
- Paper Type: Prints must be printed on Arnhem 1618 paper. (Available through the Print studio)-Purchase in class during class time.
- Paper Size: Cut down to 10"x 11". (Paper must have a 1" tab on Left side for binding. (Cut down extra paper to allow for mistakes- buy min. 3 sheets).
- Edition Size is 12.
- High quality well printed images with clean borders.
- Binding Style
- I am interested in seeing how you explore your ideas through the print. (This final project is NOT about just doing some binding).
Upcoming deadlines:
- In class printing session I: Monday, Nov. 2- Bring cut Lino block and paper cut down to proper size as you see below.
- In class printing session II: Monday, Nov. 9- Bring cut Lino block and paper cut down to proper size as you see below.
- Final Prints due: Monday, Nov. 16th. (signed and dry). IF YOUR PRINTS ARE NOT COMPLETE AND READY TO BE HANDED OUT AT THIS TIME, YOU WILL BE LEFT OUT OF THE PORTFOLIO, and likewise NOT receive prints from your peers.
Using a standard 22"x 30" sheet of paper, cut it down to 6 pieces, each measuring 10"x11". |
Each page will be 11" wide by 10" tall.
