WK 1/
Jan 18- Introduction to course/materials. Intro Project 1: Self Portrait. 5x7. (Start on drawings) (show drypoints/collagraphs)
WK 2/
Jan 23- PPT: Overview of Printmaking techniques. Discussion of tools, demo on drypoint.(black paper) Sharpening tools.
Show samples.Handout tools, plates. More info on first project. Have sketches for next class.
Jan 25- Work session on drypoints. (Hand out paper, discussion on papers, tearing down)-have paper ready for Monday in advance.
WK 3/
Jan 30- Print day: How to set presses, registration, soaking paper, wiping, printing. 1-B&W on Arnhem paper; B&W on Thai Kozo paper; 1- single color; 2-Dirty Wipe & Keeping paper clean.
Feb 1- Discussion on curating/signing prints & Print day on state I.
WK 4/
Feb 6-Brief Review/Discussion on First States. Demo: adding additional marks/textures/tone, dyeing paper, Chine colle; A la poupee, hand-coloring.
1-B&W; 1-hand-colored w/watercolor; 1-Dyed paper; 1-Chine Colle'; 1-A la Poupee'.

Feb 13- State 2 due: Critique Show Short video on Grad school page on Printana.Print session
Feb 15 Intro: Project 2/Multi-plate Demo: Color/multiplate
WK 6/
Feb 20- Demo: Chine colle print on kozo to Arnhem (rice paste & mylar), & work session.
Feb 22- Review Matrix prints and some of Max’s prints & print session.

Mar 28- Project 5: ZACC printfest portfolio. (Judge for paper size) & Print session

WK 13/
Apr 9- Jason Clark Visit show prints. Show Reliefs (they can take print II in fall)
Apr 11- Print Session

Apr 27-SATURDAY- The Print Studio will be unavailable for use from 8:00 am till 1:00 pm for MAI Workshops. You can get back in at 1:00 pm.
WK 16/

May 2- ZACC Printfest portfolio due/ Mandatory Class clean-up (Return All Tools and materials checked out_$10.00 charge for lost tools)
The Print Studio will be closed to printing after our clean up.
WK 17/
Finals Week- We will not be meeting, use this time to clear out your flat files, lockers and any prints left in the drying racks and remove your screens.
All lockers & flat files must be cleaned out no later than Sunday May 12th. The print studio will be locked starting Monday. All items left behind will be tossed.
