WK 1/
Jan 20- MLK Holiday- No Classes
Jan 22- Introduction to the course, materials. Introduce Project 1- Anachronism.
WK 2/
Jan 27-Overview of Printmaking, Discussion on tools. Demo: Basics of Relief. Hand out lino blocks.
Jan 29- Start transferring images/cutting blocks. (Borrow tools if needed-deposit-collect wk 5-Feb 19)
WK 3/
Feb 3- Discussion on Papers and cutting session.
Feb 5- Tear down papers/have block finished for Monday. Select names for presentation on a printmaker.
WK 4/
Feb 10- Demo on Printing and in-class printing session on first project.
Feb 12- Project 1:Anachronism due / Critique. I will be collecting any borrowed tools next week.
WK 5/
Feb 17- Holiday-No Classes
Feb 19- Intro Project 2: Woodcut (demo: hand-coloring/dyeing paper & Wire brush to bring up woodgrain.
Review prints by Huck/RGZ/Krawsowski & Select names for presentation on a printmaker. Next week Visiting artist. Collect shop tools that were borrowed.

Mar 5- Student Presentations on a printmaker.
WK 8/
Mar 10- Introduce Project 3: Indept project. Demo monotype/single and with plexi/chine colle (Blocks must be cut by 4/2)

Mar 31- Intro Final Print Portfolio and Show & discuss color relief (reduction/multi-block etc)-Adv relief next semester. Demo: Chine colle print on kozo to Arnhem.(rice paste & mylar) Color Mixing: Everyone will mix up a color and then share those colors to work on their prints)-save inks.
April 2- In class monotype printing on Project 3. Everyone must have their block cut in advance.

April 23 -Meet at the Missoula Art Museum (335 North Pattee-Located behind Plonk or kiddy corner from the post office) at 2:45. To talk with Jason Clark about his exhibition and see additional print exhibitions.
WK 15/
April 28- Print Trade Day for those interested. Have some extra prints you'd like to trade with, bring them in. & Print Session
April 30- Final Portfolio due / Mandatory Class Clean up. The shop is closed to further printing after the clean up.
WK 16/
May 5-9 We will not be meeting during finals week, this is time you can use to clean out your flat file and locker.
