WK 1/
Aug 26- Introduction to the course, materials. Lockers/Flatfiles. Introduce Project 1/Collaborative project. (Select key image). Brief quiz after demo on W.
Aug 28- Demo basics of Screenprinting. Handout print outs of key and 11x17 transparencies. (Drawings due: Jan 31)

WK 2/
Sept 2- Labor Day Holiday-No Classes
Sept 4- Show Short video on Grad school page on Printana.. Bring $8.00 for paper. Discuss papers & demo: dyeing/spray painting/work on drawings/coat screens. Have drawing complete for Wednesday.
WK 3/
Sept 9- Dye/Spray papers, shoot screens and practice pulling prints/registration.
Sept 11- Project 1/ In Class Collaborative print session.
WK 4/
Sept 16- Finish collaborative print session. (next Wednesday: optional T-shirt printing on Feb 14) -Brief quiz after demo on W. Brief into to Mary Farrell’s work via website and prints we’ve done with her.
Sept 18- PPT: Intro Project 2: Protest or Propaganda Demo: Halftones, CMYK & Posterizations. (Mylar & Pin registration) Brief Quiz. & Turn in 10 collaborative prints.
WK 5/
Sept 23- Discuss ideas for Protest/Propaganda pieces/ Print session on project 2. T-Shirt Printing in class (We'll be printing Ink Slingers, Squoosh & Push, I love printmaking logos or prepare your screen with your own design.)- Bring in your T-shirts/tote-bags etc if you want something printed. (This is totally optional) Show work by Max Mahn.

Dec 4- Final Class Portfolio due, distribute prints and Mandatory Class Clean up. Last day to hand in late or re-worked projects. The print studio is closed to printing following our clean up.

Finals Week We will not be meeting, use this time to clear out your flat files, lockers and any prints left in the drying racks and remove your screens.
All lockers & flat files must be cleaned out prior to December 16th. The print studio will be locked starting Monday. All items left behind will be tossed.
