-WK 1/
Jan 22- Introduction to the course, materials. Lockers/Flatfiles. Introduce Project 1/Collaborative project. (Select key image).
Jan 24- Demo basics of Screenprinting. Handout print outs of key and 11x17 transparencies. (Drawings due: Jan 31) & Bring $8.00 next week for paper.
WK 2/
Jan 29- Show Short video on Grad school page on Printana. Bring $8.00 for paper. Discuss papers & demo: dyeing/spray painting/work on drawings/coat screens. Have drawing complete for Wednesday.
Jan 31- Dye/Spray papers, shoot screens and practice pulling prints/registration.
WK 3/
Feb 5- Project 1/ In Class Collaborative print session.
Feb 7- Finish collaborative print session. (next week optional T-shirt printing on Feb 14)
WK 4/
Feb 12- PPT: Intro Project 2: Protest or Propaganda Demo: Halftones, CMYK & Posterizations. (Mylar & Pin registration)
& Turn in 10 collaborative prints.
Feb 14- Visit & CMYK demo by Dagny Walton / Discuss ideas for Protest/Propaganda pieces
WK 5/
Feb 19- Presidents Day Holiday / No Classes
Feb 21- Print session & optional T-shirt printing.Print session on project 2.
WK 6/
Feb 26- Print Session-(Show Max Mahn Work)
Feb 28- Introduce Indept Project 3. Demo: Using a vacuum frame & additional techniques/Split foundations/direct emulsion/varnish etc)- Minimum of 4 layers.

Mar 4- Visiting Artist / Max Mahn

Mar 11- Introduce Project 4: Image/Text project. (Hand out poems)-Demo: Additional techniques. (Monotype/flocking)-This demo will now be scheduled till the Monday after spring break on March 25.

Mar 25- Finish Critique & Demo: Additional techniques. (Monotype/flocking) Must have contacted your writer by this date.
Mar 27- Show relief prints/they can take Relief 2 next semester and additional Matrix prints.

Apr 3- Independent Project /Critique

Apr 8- Documenting Artwork (ppt) Framing & Presentation (ppt)

Apr 27-SATURDAY- The Print Studio will be unavailable for use from 8:00 am till 1:00 pm for MAI Workshops. You can get back in at 1:00 pm.

May 1- ZACC Printfest Portfolio due & Final mandatory class clean up. Return all materials, squeegees, registration pins.
The Print Studio will be closed to printing after our clean up.
WK 16/
Finals Week- We will not be meeting, use this time to clear out your flat files, lockers and any prints left in the drying racks and remove your screens.
All lockers & flat files must be cleaned out no later than Sunday May 12th. The print studio will be locked starting Monday. All items left behind will be tossed.
